Few companies soared during the coronavirus pandemic quite like video-conferencing specialist Zoom. Nearly overnight, families and home-bound workers started using Zoom’s service instead of rivals from Google and Cisco. The sudden boom in users caught Zoom off guard, and security experts raised questions about the company’s ability to safeguard communications. Still, Zoom recently introduced its first hardware device that lets user host more professional-looking online conferences.
